On to Denali...

Greetings from Alaska!

I spent a thee days with Lorraine, Mike, and Emma “Bean” Borys in Anchorage. Bean is a former Raiders swimmer. I took a trip to my favorite store, REI. We had pizza at Moose’s Tooth , saw Avengers: End Game, and I had a big bull’s eye crack in my windshield fixed. Vanderley took a shot right to the face along the AlCan.

Monday, I drove up to Denali along the Parks Highway.

Stopped at Non-stop Dogwear on the way. Kale Casey’s facebook live coverage of races was a huge factor in my deciding to come to Alaska.

Passed right by Husky Homestead and drove on to explore Fairbanks. Found a beautiful Barnes & Noble there. Sat by the fire and caught up on computer work. Then drove back to find my summer home.

Husky Homestead is wonderful. I’ve met some of the staff already, and I’ve gotten a small dry cabin. Vanderley is parked right outside. The dogs are right outside my window. They sang me to sleep last night.

I took a photo peeking out of my window at 11:30 PM last night…still light out.

I’m now located outside the entrance to Denali National Park. I start work this morning.
